Troubleshooting GoBright App with IAdea device

An IAdea display is by default delivered with pre-installed add-on firmware with the GoBright Android App, hence why troubleshooting differs from the other devices.

Test Internet Connection of Device

To test the connection of the IAdea device you need to Close the GoBright app on a display first and then follow the steps below:

  1. In Settings mode press ‘Exit’-field to return to the Android screen and directly press the Pause-button
    • With some models there is an extra security pincode. Swipe the ‘lock button’ at the bottom of the screen up and fill in ‘010101’
  2. Select the right-top corner ‘Advanced’-option
  3. Click multiple times with your finger on the Right-Bottom corner until the Android home screen is presented
  4. Open a webbrowser and try to go to portal.gobright.cloud

Unable to connect to the portal website? Please contact your IT Administrator to help with the internet connection.

Optional: set a custom NTP server

To set a custom NTP server on the IAdea device you need to Close the GoBright app on a display first and then follow the steps below:

  1. In Settings mode press ‘Exit’-field to return to the Android screen and directly press the Pause-button
    • With some models there is an extra security pincode. Swipe the ‘lock button’ at the bottom of the screen up and fill in ‘010101’
  2. Go to Scheduling > Time server
  3. Add the NTP address
  4. Tap play to launch the GoBright app

Reboot the device

To Reboot the device you need to Close the GoBright app on a display first and then in Settings mode press the ‘Reboot’-field to reboot.

After the reboot, the GoBright Android app will open automatically, and will connect automatically with the GoBright Portal in a minute with the linked display profile. Learn more about Profiles

Factory Reset and Re-activate the GoBright Device App

When the GoBright Device Android App needs to be re-activated, the IAdea device needs to factory reset. The Factory Reset will deliver a device with clean settings and add-on firmware of IAdea with pre-installed GoBright Device Android App.

To Factory Reset the IAdea device you need to Close the GoBright app on a display first and then follow the steps below:

  1. In Settings mode press ‘Exit’-field to return to the Android screen and directly press the Pause-button
  2. Select the right-top corner ‘Advanced’-option
  3. Select System
  4. Select Factory Default

After Factory Reset is completed the device can be re-activated within the portal by following the instructions of this article: Activating a device with the GoBright app

The device should now connect automatically with the GoBright Portal in a minute and load the linked display profile. Learn more about Profiles
