Activate a device

After installing the GoBright app on the display, the next step is activating the device in the GoBright portal.

GoBright View devices must be activated within the GoBright View portal. Read the article here to learn more.

Log in to the GoBright portal and select Settings > Devices.

Click Add to create a new device or select an existing device to edit.

Enter a name of the device:

Select a profile, or add a new profile, to define the purpose of the display. If you are choosing a:

  • Room Display profile makes the device a room display.
  • Wayfinder profile makes the device a Wayfinder.
  • etc.

Select the device’s location for reference only. (This option is only required when a Visitor profile is selected)

Access

Next, under Activate via, choose Activation code and enter the code what is displayed on your device.

If entered correctly, the device will activate automatically. Please note that the input is not case-sensitive

Status

When the device is activated, you can view essential information about the device:

  • Last heartbeat
  • Application version
  • Local time
  • Uptime
  • Operating system
  • Firmware
  • Manufacturer and model
  • Serial number
  • Network connection
