GoBright Power Control Plug

GoBright Power Control Plugs are a smart solution for managing power usage, and they are designed to work exclusively with the GoBright Interact system. This article walks you through everything you need to know, from general specifications to firmware updates, pairing, and troubleshooting.

General Information

GoBright Power Control Plugs are built to offer you seamless integration with the GoBright Interact system. They support a Bluetooth range of approximately 15 meters and allow up to five Power Control Plugs to be connected to a single Interact device. Designed exclusively for use with the Interact, these Power Control Plugs are available in EU, UK and USA versions.

To ensure compatibility, the Interact must be running firmware version 2.4.7. In the event of a power loss, the Power Control Plugs automatically reconnect to the Interact once power is restored, ensuring continuous operation without manual intervention.

Important Note: When setting up your GoBright Interact system with the Power Control Plug, ensure that the Interact is not powered through a Power Control Plug. If the Interact is placed behind the Power Control Plug and the plug is turned off, the Interact will lose power and it will not be able to turn back on automatically. To avoid this issue, use two separate power sources or a power splitter: one dedicated to providing constant power to the Interact, and the other connected to the Power Control Plug for controlling the remaining desk hardware. This setup ensures the Interact remains powered at all times and retains full control functionality.

In case the Interact loses connectivity, the ‘Book now’ button on the screen will change to a ‘Power ON’ button. This allows users to manually turn on the power for up to 12 hours, or until connectivity is restored and an active booking is stopped.

The Power Control Plugs support a rated voltage of 100 to 250 volts, a maximum current of 16 amps, and operate within a temperature range of 0 to 40°C. They are compatible with AC frequencies between 50 and 60 Hz.

Firmware updates

Keeping your GoBright Power Control Plugs up to date is essential for maintaining system stability and accessing the latest features. When a Power Control Plug is connected to the Interact, any available new firmware is automatically pushed to the device – provided the Interact itself contains the latest firmware version that includes the Power Control Plug update. Once this is in place, the Power Control Plug update automatically without requiring user intervention. In the event that the update process is interrupted, the Power Control Plug will safely revert to its previous firmware version to ensure continued functionality.
