Zone booking for parking

Zone booking is a feature in the GoBright portal that allows you to group multiple parking spots into designated zones. Rather than reserving a specific parking space, users can now book a zone, offering more flexibility and ease of use.

When a zone is booked, the user secures the right to park within that area—no need to choose a specific spot in advance. On arrival, they simply select any available parking space in the booked zone. This approach is ideal for organizations looking to streamline the parking reservation process for their employees.

Zone bookings for Parking can be made through the GoBright portal, the GoBright mobile app, by scanning an NFC or QR sticker, or via the Map Viewer Version 2.

Zone booking can be set up with or without early presence confirmation and check-in.

Parking availability and visual indicators

• All parking spaces in a zone will show as green (available) until the number of bookings reaches the zone’s capacity.
  For example, if a zone contains 4 parking spots and 3 users have booked, all spaces will still appear green—since one is still available.

• Once the zone is fully booked:

  • The zone turns orange to indicate it’s time to check in.

  • The zone turns red if all spots are occupied.

Check-in is only possible by scanning an NFC or QR sticker on-site. The check-in for zone booking is not supported through the GoBright portal, Interact, or Connect devices.

Configuring parking zones

Follow the steps below to configure your parking zone.

1. Go to Settings > Park > Parking spaces and on the ‘Add’ button select the arrow. Then select ‘Add zone’.

2. Adjust the required settings on the left, then choose to add either a single parking or multiple parkings to the zone.

3. When adding multiple parkings, complete the required fields including the starting number, total number of parking places to create, and any desired name prefix or suffix. Then, click ‘Generate’.

4. After generating the parking spaces, select ‘Insert’.

5. Save your newly created parking zone.

6. You can find the zone in the Park > Parkings section, where its capacity is also displayed.

7. Link the parking spaces on the maps following the usual process.
