Limit users to make bookings in specific locations

This can be configured in the user roles and it can be configured for any location that contains bookable resource or for any specific bookable resource: rooms, desks or parking spaces.

You can combine multiple user roles for your users where locations or spaces will be included and excluded.

Please check the example for bookable rooms below:
You can create one user role for the persons who are not allowed to make bookings in the specific meeting rooms, for example Alphen and Alblasserdam rooms. Here you can include the other rooms that are allowed to be booked and then exclude these two rooms.

When the user with this role tries to make a booking in one of these excluded rooms, they will not be able as they will receive the message that they are not allowed to make a booking.

For other users that are allowed to make a booking in these two rooms, you should create another user role where they will be allowed to make bookings in all locations, or at least include these two rooms (in case other spaces are excluded).

When the user with this role tries to make a booking in the included rooms, they will not have any restriction.

When they try to make bookings in the excluded spaces, they will receive the message that they are not allowed.

You can check the article Assing roles to multiple users for more information on how to assign these roles to your users.
