Installation of The GoBright App on the non-rooted APPC-10SLBe

This is an installation guide on how to install the GoBright app on ProDVX 10SLBe displays.

Please follow the steps:

1. Plug the PoE+ cable into the device and press on START button on the startup screen

2. Select Don’t copy on the Copy apps & data pop up window

3. Select Skip on Google Sign in pop up window and Skip on Account setup pop-up window

4. Select More > Accept Google services

5. Skip Set screen lock

6. Press on Skip anyway the Set screen lock

7. Open the Google Chrome app

8. Press No thanks in the Turn on sync pop up window

9. Select Accept & continue

10. Go to the installation page install.gobright.cloud and press on Addons

11. Select ProDVX 10SLBe

12. Select Download anyway

13. GoBright Addon for SLBe

• Open the downloaded ProDVX API DELA-v1.3d apk

14. On Chrome security settings, press on Select

15. Switch the toggle button Allow from this source and then press twice on the arrow back button at the bottom of the screen

16. Press on Install and then on Open

17. Go back to the installation page install.gobright.cloud and press Meet / Work / Visit button

18. Select Android 8 or higher

19. Open Download GoBright Device App (vXX.XX)

20. Press on Download anyway

21. Open the downloaded apk file

22. Press on Install and then Open

23. On the pop-up window “Allow GoBright – Device to take pictures and record video” press on WHILE USING THE APP

24. After that, press again on Allow

25. Press Continue and open the GoBright-Device app

26. When you open the GoBright app, press to toggle on the Allow Do Not Disturb button and then press on Allow

27. Once this is on, press on the arrow back button at the bottom of the screen

28. Press Continue

29. Switch on the toggle button Allow modifying system settings and press on the arrow back button twice

30. This will lead you back to the app and press Continue

31. Select again the GoBright-Device app, switch on the toggle button Allow display over other apps and press twice on the arrow back button

32. Once this is done, check the settings. If these settings are correct, press on Confirm and reboot

33. The screen will reboot and then it will show the activation code. Activate your device by entering the activation code in your Portal as explained in the article The display shows an activation code

NOTES

*) Regarding the internet connection, we strongly advise to use wired (PoE+) connections for highest reliability.

If you have to use Wi-Fi, please make sure you have disabled the ‘Avoid poor network connections’ and ‘Notify whenever a public network is available’ in the Wi-Fi settings menu within Android. This will increase the reliability, for example when maintenance is done on the Wi-Fi network.

Please note: not all Android versions have these options, so these options might not be applicable for your device.
