Installation of the GoBright App on non-rooted Android 12 ProDVX APPC R23 Series
This is an installation guide on how to install the GoBright app on ProDVX R23 Series display with Android 12.
Check if your device is on the list of GoBright certified hardware here
Important note: GoBright app version full-13.85.apk or higher is needed
This is an installation manual based on Firmware: APPC-10N-S-series.R25.ProDVX_013.B24_05 Please ask for the latest Firmware version for your device directly from ProDVX by contacting them at [email protected]
Start up the display
- Skip wizard left top corner and press ‘reboot device’
- Swipe up and open Chromium app and select continue in the popup window
Download the GoBright Device app
- Browse to https://install.gobright.cloud and select Meet/Work/Visit
- Select Android 8 or higher
- Select Download GoBright Device App (vXX.XX)
- Select Download anyway and Open
- Select in the security popup window on settings and allow to install unknown apps.
- Select Install and Done
Install the GoBright Device app
- Select the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar
- Swipe up and select AutoStart
- Select Start App and select GoBright-Device
- Select Arrow back icon in the navigation bar
- Select Settings and scroll down to System
- Select Digital signage options
- Enable ProDVX API and press on confirm for reboot
- Select while using the app
- Select Allow
- Select Continue
- Select GoBright-device
- Switch on the toggle button
- Allow and select twice Arrow back icon in the navigation bar
- Select Continue
- Switch on the toggle button and select Arrow back icon in the navigation bar
- Check Date and time (change if necessary) and select Confirm and reboot
- After reboot your GoBright Activation Code is presented
With the activation code you’re able to go to the next step and activate the display in the GoBright portal
NOTES
*) Regarding the internet connection, we strongly advise to use wired (PoE+) connections for highest reliability.
If you have to use Wi-Fi, please make sure you have disabled the ‘Avoid poor network connections’ and ‘Notify whenever a public network is available’ in the Wi-Fi settings menu within Android. This will increase the reliability, for example when maintenance is done on the Wi-Fi network.

Please note not all Android versions have these options, so these options might not be applicable for your device.
