Installation of GoBright Device app on Qbic TD-1050 Android 5.1
This is an installation manual to install the GoBright Device app on Qbic TD-1050 display. Please follow the steps below.
Check if your device is on the list of GoBright certified hardware here
Important note: GoBright app version full-14.29.apk or higher is needed

Start up the display
- Connect the device using a PoE+ cable or power it with an adapter, and connect it to Wi-Fi
- (Optional) Perform a factory reset on the device: Go to Settings > Reset Options > Erase all data (Factory reset)
- Select Settings in the bottom-right corner
- Select Player Settings
- Scroll down to Android System and enable “Switch to native android mode”
- Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar
Download the GoBright Device app
- Open the Browser
- Browse to https://install.gobright.cloud and select Meet/Work/Visit
- Select Lower than Android 8
- Select Download GoBright Device App (xx.xx) and confirm by tapping Download
Install the GoBright Device App
- Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar
- Select the app drawer icon (six dots) and open APK installer
- Select Install
- Choose Internal Memory
- Navigate to the Download folder
- Select the downloaded APK file
- In the security prompt, tap Settings and enable Unknown sources
- Tap OK and go Back with the Arrow back icon
- Select the APK file again and tap Next and Install Wait for the installation to complete, then select Done
- Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar
- Open Settings and select Player Settings
- Scroll down to Android System and disable “Switch to native android mode”
- Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar
- Press on the magnifying glass symbol and select GoBright – Device
The GoBright app will automatically launch after 20 seconds - Check Date and time (change if necessary) and select Confirm and reboot
- After reboot your GoBright Activation Code is presented
With the activation code you’re able to go to the next step and activate the display in the GoBright portal
Notes
*) Regarding the internet connection, we strongly advise to use wired (PoE+) connections for highest reliability.
If you have to use Wi-Fi, please make sure you have disabled the ‘Avoid poor network connections’ and ‘Notify whenever a public network is available’ in the Wi-Fi settings menu within Android. This will increase the reliability, for example when maintenance is done on the Wi-Fi network.

Please note: not all Android versions have these options, so these options might not be applicable for your device
