Installation of GoBright Device app on Qbic TD-1060 Android 10

This is an installation manual to install the GoBright Device app on Qbic TD-1060 display. Please follow the steps below.

Check if your device is on the list of GoBright certified hardware here

Important note: GoBright app version full-14.60.apk or higher is needed

Method: Download and Install the GoBright app on the device

Start up the display

  1. Connect the device using a PoE+ cable or power it with an adapter, and connect it to Wi-Fi
  2. (Optional) Perform a factory reset on the device: Go to Settings > Reset Options > Erase all data (Factory reset)
  3. Select Settings in the bottom-right corner
  4. Select Player Settings
  5. Scroll down to Android System and enableSwitch to native android mode
  6. Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar

Download the GoBright Device app

  1. Open the Lightning browser
  2. Browse to https://install.gobright.cloud and select Meet/Work/Visit
  3. Select Android 8 or higher
  4. Select Download GoBright Device App (xx.xx) and confirm by tapping Download

Install the GoBright Device App

  1. Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar
  2. Swipe up and open Explorer
  3. Select Internal Memory > Download > Select the downloaded file


  4. In the security prompt, tap Settings and enable Allow from this source and press the Arrow back


  5. Select Install and Done (don’t select open)

  6. Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar
  7. Swipe up and open Settings and select Player Settings

  8. Scroll down to Android System and disableSwitch to native android mode
  9. Press the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar
  10. Press on the magnifying glass symbol and select GoBright – Device


    The GoBright app will automatically launch after 20 seconds
  11. The app will request the necessary permissions to operate and manage the device. Allow all prompts.


  12. Select Continue
  13. Select GoBright-device
  14. Switch on the toggle button
  15. Allow and select twice Arrow back icon in the navigation bar

  16. Select Continue
  17. Switch on the toggle button and select Arrow back icon in the navigation bar

  18. Check Date and time (change if necessary) and select Confirm and reboot

  19. After reboot your GoBright Activation Code is presented

With the activation code you’re able to go to the next step and activate the display in the GoBright portal

Notes

*) Regarding the internet connection, we strongly advise to use wired (PoE+) connections for highest reliability.

If you have to use Wi-Fi, please make sure you have disabled the ‘Avoid poor network connections’ and ‘Notify whenever a public network is available’ in the Wi-Fi settings menu within Android. This will increase the reliability, for example when maintenance is done on the Wi-Fi network.

Please note: not all Android versions have these options, so these options might not be applicable for your device
