Installation of GoBright App on Android 12 ProDVX R23 Series

  1. This is an installation guide on how to install the GoBright app on ProDVX R23 Series displays with Android 12.
  2. Check if your device is on the list of GoBright certified hardware here

    This is an installation manual based on Firmware: APPC-10N-S-series.R25.ProDVX_013.B24_05
    Please ask for the latest Firmware version for your device directly from ProDVX by contacting them at [email protected]

  3. Please follow the steps:

    1. Skip wizard left top corner and press ‘reboot device
    2. Swipe up and open Chromium app and press continue in the popup window
    3. Go to https://install.gobright.cloud and select Meet/Work/Visit
    4. Select Android 8 or higher
    5. Press on Download GoBright Device App (vXX.XX)
    6. Select Download anyway
    7. Open the downloaded file
    8. Press in the next security popup window on settings and allow to install unknown apps.
    9. Press install
    10. Press Done
    11. Go back to first blue screen by pressing the circle button
    12. Swipe up and select Auto start
    13. Select Start app and select GoBright-Device
    14. Select arrow back button in the bottom
    15. Select Settings and scroll down to System

    16. Select Digital signage options
    17. Enable ProDVX API and press on confirm for reboot

    18. Press while using the app
    19. Select Allow
    20. Select Continue
    21. Select GoBright-device
    22. Switch on the toggle button
    23. Allow and press twice the back button in the bottom
    24. Press continue
    25. Switch on the toggle button and press back button in the bottom
    26. Check the Date and time. If this are correct select Confirm and reboot
    27. Activate your device by entering the activation code in your Portal as explained in article the display shows an activation code

NOTES

*) Regarding the internet connection, we strongly advise to use wired (PoE+) connections for highest reliability.

If you have to use Wi-Fi, please make sure you have disabled the ‘Avoid poor network connections’ and ‘Notify whenever a public network is available’ in the Wi-Fi settings menu within Android. This will increase the reliability, for example when maintenance is done on the Wi-Fi network.

Please note not all Android versions have these options, so these options might not be applicable for your device.
