Installation of the GoBright App on ProDVX APPC Android 9 device
This is an installation guide on how to install the GoBright app on ProDVX display with Android 9.
Check if your device is on the list of GoBright certified hardware here
Start up the display
- Connect the device using a PoE+ cable or power it with an adapter, and connect it to Wi-Fi
- Select Skip wizard in the left top corner and select Start
- Swipe up and open the Lightning app
Download the GoBright Device app
- Browse to https://install.gobright.cloud and select Meet/Work/Visit
- Select Android 8 or higher
- Select Download GoBright Device App (xx.xx)
- In the security prompt, tap Allow
- Select Download
Install the GoBright Device App
- Select the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar
- Swipe up and select ApkInstaller
- In the security prompt, tap OK for permissions and select Allow
- Select Install
- Choose Internal Memory
- Navigate to the Download folder
- Select the downloaded APK file
- In the security prompt, tap Settings and enable Unknown sources
- Select the Arrow back icon in the navigation bar
- Select Install
- Wait for the installation to complete, then select Done
- Select the center bottom HOME-dot in the navigation bar
- Swipe up and select AutoStart
- Select Start App and change it to GoBright-Device
- Select the Arrow back Icon in the navigation bar and select GoBright-Device
- The app will request the necessary permissions to operate and manage the device. Please allow or confirm all prompts. If any Android settings are changed, use the Back arrow icon to proceed with the installation
- Check Date and time (change if necessary) and select Confirm and reboot
- After reboot your GoBright Activation Code is presented
With the activation code you’re able to go to the next step and activate the display in the GoBright portal
NOTES
*) Regarding the internet connection, we strongly advise to use wired (PoE+) connections for highest reliability.
If you have to use Wi-Fi, please make sure you have disabled the ‘Avoid poor network connections’ and ‘Notify whenever a public network is available’ in the Wi-Fi settings menu within Android. This will increase the reliability, for example when maintenance is done on the Wi-Fi network.

Please note: not all Android versions have these options, so these options might not be applicable for your device.
