Installation of the GoBright App on non-rooted Android 11 ProDVX APPC R23 Series

This is an installation guide on how to install the GoBright app on ProDVX R23 Series display with Android 11.

Check if your device is on the list of GoBright certified hardware here

Important note: GoBright app version full-13.85.apk or higher is needed

Start up the display

  1. Connect the device using a PoE+ cable or power it with an adapter, and connect it to Wi-Fi
  2. Swipe up and open the Chromium app
  3. Browse to https://install.gobright.cloud/addons/ and select ProDVX R23 Series

  4. Select Download anyway and Open


  5. Select Install and Open


    Note: If the AOSP is installed, the ‘Open’ option will be grey out. Please click on ‘Done’ to proceed.

Download the GoBright Device app

  1. Browse to https://install.gobright.cloud and select Meet/Work/Visit

  2. Select Android 8 or higher

  3. Select Download GoBright Device App (xx.xx)

  4. Select Download anyway and Open


  5. Select Install and Done


  6. Close the Chromium app

Install the GoBright Device App

  1. Swipe up and select AutoStart


  2. Select Start App and change it to GoBright-Device


  3. Go back to all apps and select GoBright
  4. The app will request the necessary permissions to operate and manage the device. Please allow or confirm all prompts. If any Android settings are changed, use the Back arrow icon to proceed with the installation
  5. Check Date and time (change if necessary) and select Confirm and reboot
  6. After reboot your GoBright Activation Code is presented

With the activation code you’re able to go to the next step and activate the display in the GoBright portal

NOTES

*) Regarding the internet connection, we strongly advise to use wired (PoE+) connections for highest reliability.

If you have to use Wi-Fi, please make sure you have disabled the ‘Avoid poor network connections’ and ‘Notify whenever a public network is available’ in the Wi-Fi settings menu within Android. This will increase the reliability, for example when maintenance is done on the Wi-Fi network.

Please note: not all Android versions have these options, so these options might not be applicable for your device.
