Philips BDL3452T series screen - Installing the GoBright App and settings.

To make installation easier please connect a USB keyboard to the Philips display

Start up the display

  1. Choose your preferred language, date and time and select Next
  2. Enable in the Security Settings menu: SICP Network Port, FTP, Admin Password and Unknown Sources Installation and press Next
  3. Skip the Learnhub Settings
  4. Select in the Network Settings; Ethernet. Turn on Ethernet in the top and select Finish
  5. The device reboot and deny the promt about the CMND&Deploy to access photos, media, and files on your device.
  6. Select the arrow at the left or right side and select the gear icon.

    The Picture and Audio settings can be set as preferred.
  7. Configuration 1 can be set according to these settings:
  8. Select by Boot on source disable ‘Last Input’ and select by Input ‘Custom’
  9. Configuration 2 can be set according to these settings:
  10. In the Advanced option tab there are two important settings::
    Off timer: set it to 24 hours (this prevents the screen entering a state of sleep caused by not touching it)
    Power Save: set this to mode 4

Download the GoBright Device app

  1. Select the arrow at the left or right side and select the Home icon. Select in the Home screen Apps
  2. Select Chromium app
  3. Browse to https://install.gobright.cloud and select Meet/Work/Visit
  4. Select Android 8 or higher
  5. Select Download GoBright Device App (xx.xx)
  6. Select Continue in the prompt and Allow Chromium to access photos, media, and files on your device.
  7. Select OK in the next prompt
  8. Select Open and Install

  9. When the GoBright app is installed select Done

Install the GoBright Device App

  1. Select the arrow at the left or right side and select the gear icon.
  2. Go to the Android Settings and login with default password: 1234

  3. Select Signage Display
  4. Select Source settings
  5. Select Android source
  6. Select Custom app
  7. Enable “Force restart custom app” and click on select app>GoBright app>Save.

  8. Select the arrow at the left or right side and select the Home icon. Select in the Home screen Apps

  9. Open GoBright Device app
  10. Select 3 times Allow


  11. Select continue
  12. Switch on the toggle in the top and Allow
  13. Go back to the app and select continue again
  14. Switch on the toggle button
  15. Go back to the app and check Date and time (change if necessary) and select Confirm and reboot
  16. After reboot your GoBright Activation Code is presented

With the activation code you’re able to go to the next step and activate the display in the GoBright portal

NOTES

*) Regarding the internet connection, we strongly advise to use wired (PoE+) connections for highest reliability.

If you have to use Wi-Fi, please make sure you have disabled the ‘Avoid poor network connections’ and ‘Notify whenever a public network is available’ in the Wi-Fi settings menu within Android. This will increase the reliability, for example when maintenance is done on the Wi-Fi network.

Please note: not all Android versions have these options, so these options might not be applicable for your device.
