Configuring the locations structure
The location structure allows you to organise your rooms, desks, and other resources in a clear and logical hierarchy. It also helps you keep track of where visitors are signed in through the Digital Reception.
You can create a tree of locations that reflects the physical structure of your organisation. For example:
City → Building → Floor
You can add multiple levels to the hierarchy as needed, allowing you to organise resources according to your specific setup. This structure makes it easier to manage resources, assign permissions, and identify where rooms, desks, and visitors are located.

You can also create zones within the same floor. Zones are useful for visually representing different departments or areas on the floor plan.
For example, you can create separate zones for Marketing, Sales, and IT Support to clearly show where each department is located. This makes it easy to identify which desks belong to each department and provides a clear visual overview of how the floor is organised.

Configure the location structure
Log in to the GoBright portal using your manager account and navigate to Settings > General. In the left-hand navigation menu, select Locations.
To create a new location, click Add. Alternatively, select an existing location to edit its details.
Parent location
When adding or editing a location, you can define its position in the location tree by selecting a Parent location.
For the main or top-level location, leave the Parent location field empty. For all other locations, select the appropriate parent location to place it at the correct level in the hierarchy.
Name
You can configure the ‘name’ of the location.
Image
Furthermore, you can add an image to a location, which will be displayed throughout the portal. Adding an image is particularly useful for locations that contain desks or parking spaces. The location image is displayed on the map in the Dashboard when users are booking desks or parking spaces, helping them easily identify the location and select the desired resource.
Time zone
Check the Time zone and change it if needed.
Activate modules for this location
Use the options Visitor kiosk enabled or Use as working location in week planner to enable the location in Visitor kiosk or in the Week planner.
Map
The final option is to link a map to the location. The map provides a visual representation of the location and allows users to easily select and book desks or meeting rooms.
If a map is available, we highly recommend linking it to the location, as it will be displayed throughout the portal. If a location does not have a map linked to it, it will inherit the map from its next child location in the location hierarchy.
