Philips BDL3452T series screen - Installing the GoBright App and settings.
To make installation easier please connect a USB keyboard to the Philips BDL3452T screen
After choosing your language click a side arrow and choose the settings gear symbol
The Picture and Audio settings can be set as preferred. Configuration 1 and 2 can be set according to these settings:
In the Advanced option tab there are two important settings:
- Off timer: set it to 24 hours (this prevents the screen entering a state of sleep caused by not touching it)
- Power Save: set this to mode 4
Go to the Android Settings and login with 1234
Go to security and check the box to allow install from unknown sources
Go back to the Home screen and choose Apps:
Open Chromium and go to https://install.gobright.cloud
Navigate to Meet/Work/Visit – Android 8 or higher and download the latest GoBright Device App (vxx.xx). Give Chrome permission to download.
Press continue:
Choose Allow
Select Download Anyway
When the download is finished press the 3 dots at the right top and choose Downloads.
Select the download: full-xx.xx.apk file to install the GoBright App
Press install and then Open
Allow GoBright App 3 times and allow GoBright access to “Do Not Disturb” settings
Allow GoBright App to “Modify system settings”, press continue and flip the switch
Press back on your keyboard. Check the Date and Time Zone and choose confirm and reboot.
After the reboot ensure the GoBright App is the Custom App that boots at the start:
Click an arrow on the side and the Settings Gear and choose Android Settings.
In Android choose Signage Display>Source Settings>Android Source>Custom App
Enable “Force restart custom app” and click on select app.
Choose the GoBright app and save.
Return to the Gear Wheel via an arrow on the side of the screen and select configuration 1.
Go to Boot on source and uncheck last input, click on input and select Custom and save.
Go back to the home screen and choose “Apps” again and start the GoBright App.
