When you cannot edit or delete bookings in a shared mailbox from within the GoBright Portal

If you are not able to edit or delete a booking from within the GoBright Portal while you have the correct rights and you see an error similar to this:

Validation error
Unable to remove booking. Please contact your system administrator to check the integration.

This is caused by shared mailbox(es).
The service account needs permission to these mailboxes.

To set this up:

  1. Log in to the Microsoft 365 admin center (admin.microsoft.com)
  2. Go to Shared mailboxes (search bar on top: “shared mailboxes”)
  3. Select the shared mailbox so the config panel opens
  4. At Members, click Edit and add the service account
  5. At Manage mailbox permissions, give the service account Read and manage permissions
  6. Repeat these steps for all shared mailboxes this applies to
