Visitor management is any set of activities that helps organisations keep track of people that visit the location. While some organisations are satisfied with only collecting names, other organisations may have stricter measures.

A visitor management system is a tool that helps collecting these data, and managing appointments. Companies used to do this manually by using pen and paper for their visitor administration. However, technology has greatly advanced and so have privacy protection laws. A clipboard with a list of visitors and their contact details simply is no longer allowed. This is why many organisations are now looking into digital solutions for their visitor management.
